New Plaza & Landscaping

Grand Rapids, Michigan

Project Summary Points:

  • Two-Acre Site
  • Removal of all site elements to access underground parking structure

The need to replace a waterproofing membrane that failed to protect an underground parking structure resulted in a phased project limiting pedestrian access to the facility while expediting required demolition and new construction.  CHMP also updated the landscape by implementing colored textured concrete within a modified grid pattern.  The scale of the seven-story building was taken into account while displaying the concrete grid pattern.
